Product design collaboration is essential for AI products because model behavior and interface design are deeply intertwined — the user experience only works if the model does what the design assumes it will do, and the design only serves users if it accurately represents what the model can and can’t do. When behavior architects and product designers don’t work closely together, the result is often interfaces that promise more than the model delivers, or behavioral capabilities that were never surfaced to users.
